Data Confidentiality | Verto Finance

The controls, commitments and working practices that keep your financial information private at every step of the engagement.

Our confidentiality commitment

Every engagement begins with a signed confidentiality agreement. Your financial information is treated as strictly private and is used for one purpose only: delivering the reporting and advisory work you have engaged us for.

Data stays in your systems

We work from controlled exports or read-only access that you grant and can revoke at any time. Credentials are never exchanged over email or chat, and we do not migrate your books into systems you do not control.

Named-team access only

Access is limited to the named professionals on your engagement. Permissions are reviewed each quarter and removed the day a team member rolls off your account.

Secure storage and transfer

Client documents are stored in a private, access-controlled vault. Industry-standard encryption is applied during data transit and storage across our secure cloud infrastructure. Portal downloads use short-lived signed links that expire automatically.

Segregation between clients

Each client has an isolated workspace. Row-level access rules mean one client can never see another client's reports, source files or billing records.

Sub-processors

We utilize trusted, enterprise-grade cloud sub-processors operating under strict data security and privacy policies, and none receive client data beyond what is required to run the service.

Retention and deletion

On request, or at the end of an engagement, we delete working files and return or destroy source documents, keeping only what professional and legal obligations require.

Raising a concern

If you believe information has been handled incorrectly, contact your engagement lead immediately. We investigate and respond with a written summary of findings and remediation.
